Guatemala Huehuetenango

Huehuetenango has been one of Guatemala's prime coffee regions for years . "Huehue", is at the foot of the Cuchumatanes, the highest non-volcanic mountain range in Central America. There are currents of hot air that sweep up from Mexico’s Tehuantepec plain that cross paths with cool air descending from the Cuchumatanes Mountains. This region is thus protected from frost, allowing the coffee to be cultivated up to 2,000 meters.

The concept of "sustainability" is based on a strong commitment to the protection of the environment, equal distribution of the generated profits, business transparency, a strong commitment to quality and long term relationships with clients and suppliers. The coop ASDECAFE contributes to the local and national economy by generating employment, foreign exchange earnings and fiscal responsibility.
